Hi, I’m Vaibhav Gujral! I work as a principal cloud architect at Charles Schwab, where I provide technical leadership to multiple engineering and operation teams, develop platform architecture blueprints, guide the development of junior engineers into individual-contributor leaders, and bridge the gaps between platform teams with application and central architecture teams. I also advise the platform organization in technology strategy, managing between the immediate demands of ensuring production reliability, the near-term goals of key firm-wide projects related to growth and modernization, and the need to align towards and deliver future technologies.
I specialize in cloud strategy and governance, cloud security, cloud architecture, application architecture, microservices architecture, Artificial Intelligence, FinOps, and DevOps practices. I help enterprises adopt the cloud correctly by clearly understanding the motivations and developing a cost-effective solution utilizing suitable architectural patterns and design principles. My technical skills include Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services, Kubernetes, Docker, .NET Core, Terraform, and PowerShell.
I have been a Microsoft Azure MVP since 2020, a prestigious award given to exceptional technical community leaders who share their expertise and passion for Azure. He is an active blogger and speaker. I have reviewed several Azure-related books and run the Omaha Azure user group. I also moderate an X (Formerly Twitter) community for Microsoft Azure, now with over 4000 strong members. I am also a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 2020.
I hold several cloud certifications, including Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate. I have a Bachelor of Engineering degree with Information Technology as my specialization. My areas of interest outside technology span photography, personal finance, stock markets, and sports like chess, cricket & football.
