Vaibhav Gujral is a software engineering and cloud leader with 20 years of experience helping Fortune 500 organizations modernize technology platforms across banking & financial services, insurance, technology, healthcare, and construction—spanning hands-on development, enterprise architecture, and engineering leadership. He specializes in cloud engineering, application modernization, and enterprise AI across Azure (primary), AWS, and Google Cloud — including founding an enterprise Cloud Center of Excellence governing Azure and AWS environments. His record of measurable outcomes includes a 2,000%+ improvement in release frequency through microservices re-architecture, 40%+ cost reductions on enterprise AI workloads, and technical ownership of a $2.9M+ Azure platform.
Vaibhav works closely with CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders to align technology investments with business goals — and is equally at home alongside architects and engineers, shaping standards, reviewing designs, and building production systems. In his current role at Capgemini, he partners with client senior leadership to envision cloud and AI strategy and identify high-value AI use cases, while leading teams of architects and engineers delivering DevOps and application modernization for large BFSI clients across North America, alongside generative AI solutions built on RAG and agentic architectures.
He believes sustainable transformation is driven not only by technology, but by empowering people to grow. Throughout his career, he has led and mentored engineers, architects, and technology managers, helping them develop into senior contributors and leaders.
Vaibhav is a seven-time Microsoft MVP, recognized in the Azure category from 2020 to 2026 and in Microsoft Foundry since 2024. He is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and since November 2019, he has organized the Omaha Azure User Group, hosting more than 100 sessions that connect technology professionals across the cloud and AI community. He speaks regularly at events including Microsoft Ignite, .NET Conf, Nebraska.Code(), and Heartland Developers Conference, and shares his experience through technical writing and mentoring.
